Policies and Restrictions
Health and readiness
- Participants complete a brief health and activity questionnaire before the first class
- Participants with medical concerns get physician clearance before joining
- Participants may stop or modify any activity at any time
Footwear and attire
- Closed-toe athletic shoes with non-slip soles required
- No socks-only, barefoot, sandals, or heeled footwear
- Clothing that allows free arm and leg movement
Equipment
- Use only instructor-provided or approved paddles and Kush Balls
- Inspect paddles for cracks or damage before each class
- Paddles and balls are used only as instructed, not thrown, swung at others, or used for games outside the class format
- Equipment is wiped down after each class
Space and safety
- Maximum class size based on floor space, with a minimum distance between participants
- Participants stay in assigned spots during stationary segments
- Designated walking lanes or directions during Disc Walking
- No backward walking or running until participants have completed a beginner progression
- Balls that roll away are retrieved only when the music is paused or the instructor signals it is safe
- Floors kept clear of bags, water bottles, and loose items; designated storage area provided
Progression
- New participants begin in a beginner level before advancing to running, skipping, or direction changes
- Instructor approval required to move to higher-challenge segments
Class conduct
- Arrive on time; no entry after the warm-up ends
- Follow instructor cues and stop immediately on a stop signal
- Phones silenced and stored
- Respect personal space and other participants’ pace
Environment
- Water available and encouraged during breaks
- Indoor classes on a non-slip, level surface
- Outdoor classes canceled for extreme heat, rain, wind, or poor air quality
Administrative
- Signed liability waiver and participant agreement
- Emergency contact on file
- Incident reporting procedure
- Attendance and cancellation policy
- Photo and video policy
